VikerBiescas BIESCAS

VikerBiescas (Biescas) is an urban apartment, located in the beautiful town of Biescas (Alto Aragón, Alto Gállego region). Bathed by a river of icy meltwater (the Gállego) and surrounded by majestic mountains. Mountain town, with strong customs, landscapes and typical Pyrenean climate. Its stone and slate architecture, its natural riches, landscapes, nature and history give it everything necessary to make Biescas a magnificent destination for getaways and vacations. The Panticosa Spa - less than 5 km away - is a perfect enclave for relaxation and well-being.

The neighborhood
Biescas is a small town, in which there are no distances. The apartment is located in a very accessible area and close enough to the center. But at the perfect distance to avoid all the crowds, night noises and annoyances that its many parties cause around the Plaza Mayor.

Active turism
Area with high demand for nature tourism, winter sports and adventure: mountaineering, climbing, hiking, cycling, via ferratas, ravines, bird watching and nature and -of course- sky. There are motorcycling routes and equestrian activities. In addition, it maintains its traditions with pride, being a town where many fairs and events are held (some of them, of medieval antiquity). Another of its great attractions is -in winter- the collection of mushrooms.

Gastronomy
The gastronomy of the area is not only essential. It has become a pleasure and every year the bar is raised a little more. Magnificent meats, artisan cheeses and organic wines, in an environment of restaurants that take care of even the smallest detail, offer your senses a great quality and diversity of products.

Apartment
Located in a building about 20 years old, in a rural mountain style. It is a 90 m2 apartment, with three bedrooms, a cozy living room with a fireplace, an equipped kitchen and a complete bathroom. All carpentry is solid wood. The bathroom and bedrooms are functional and modern. From the apartment, the views of the mountains are very attractive and there is great natural light that - during the day - warms and brightens the whole house.

Parties and events
1.- Arbotherapy Workshop: in the Biescas forest, during the Spring Fair.
2.- Pilgrimage of the Crosses: On the day of Pentecost this pilgrimage brings together (in the hermitage of Santa Elena) the Parish Crosses of all the towns of the Valley of Tena and the region of Biescas.
3.- Spring Fair: in May, a young event, of great projection and in constant growth, of a horticultural, gardening and nature nature. With interesting recreational activities, conferences and workshops.
4.- Pilgrimage of San Antonio: On June 13, pilgrimage in honor of the patron saint of Biescas. These days, in parallel, the tasting-competition and the Aragón Cheese Days (whose objective is to promote the region's cheese culture) are also developed.
5.- Santa Elena Festivities: From August 14 to 18, Patron Saint festivities. The traditional chupinazo on the 14th gives way to celebrations that begin with the parade of floats created by the townspeople, taking place in successive days, festivals and dances enlivened by orchestras. The old and traditional festival of the Bulls of Fire stands out.
6.- Autumn Fair: It is celebrated on the third weekend of October (and it is the old Livestock Fair, now converted). Among other customs of high interest, we highlight the Cheese Contest (artisan producers from all over Spain and southern France compete. And a popular jury decides which is the best cheese of the year).

Hosts
We are a nature-loving family and we enjoy winter and summer sports a lot throughout the year. Spring surprises us with its emergence of colors and ecosystem, and autumn also turns into characteristic colors, which reminds us - year after year - of the cycles of life and the beauty of this unique environment.
Unfortunately, we cannot enjoy our home all year long. For this reason, we love to share it with people who fill it with life, and can take advantage of it. It is for this reason that we offer it as rural accommodation.
